Alvinette Downing McCleave
Alvinette has been an educator for over 30 years. As an IT specialist and Quality consultant early in her career, she gained an understanding of how and why people of all ages learn. During her tenure as an executive in corporate America, Alvinette trained and facilitated hundreds of managerial and executive level employees to implement and sustain high quality standards. As she introduced these concepts, her co-workers began to value not only the results that followed but the joy of learning them. With a desire to instill the same unquenchable desire to learn, she birthed Creative Intelligence Educational Mentors to provide support to multi-age students in public, private and home-school settings. Her expertise has open doors for her to teach Life and Physical Science to Chinese high school students at Southlands School Qingdao in China as well as special needs and gifted students in the states. Alvinette is a writer and voiceover actor who has created and voiced several Moody Broadcasting radio commercials and an audio textbook. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Colorado and has completed post-graduate studies toward a Dual Masters in Biblical Counseling and Media & Communication from Dallas Theological Seminary. Alvinette was born in Washington, DC and was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been a world traveler from birth as the daughter of two famed Tuskegee Airmen. She is the parent of four wonderfully successful adult children and a grandmother of three.

Our company offers services and opportunities to students, families and educators that take into account the needs and desires of not only the student, but the families and educators that would be investing in their educational journey. Alternatives can and are considered to mutually meet these needs. Whether guiding a homeschool family through the maze of curriculum choices, organizing and scheduling their homeschool day or helping a family and students to more effectively navigate traditional educational methods, our company can be an invaluable asset in this process. Families choose alternative education because it works better for them; family life, learning styles, personalities, future goals and even health can play a role in making this decision. Our educators have similar motivations. They find themselves not fitting into traditional teaching venues, but the individualized, flexible, student-focused world that Creative Intelligence Educational Mentors, LLC offers the choice that, until now, has been missing.
The educational world can be daunting and extremely intimidating, especially when you realize the future impact that it will have on those involved. The generation today is the generation that will be responsible for extremely important and life changing decisions. Their educational preparation is crucial and one not to be taken lightly.

After hearing so many stories of the positive and negative impact of an educator on a student’s life, we have come to understand that all of the participants in a student's educational journey are crucial and not to be ignored. The needs of the family, the needs of the educator and the needs of the student are of equal import and must be considered.
